Debiotech announced today that it's partner JMS
received Shonin approval from the Kosheirodosho (MHW) for its IV
Exprés pump and giving sets, to be marketed by JMS in Japan
under the tradename of "I-Fusor". "We are very pleased
with this approval, as it will enable the marketing of the IV Exprés
product line in Japan", says Ary Saaman, Director of Regulatory
Affairs for Debiotech.
Debiotech already obtained clearance in the US
from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its IV Expres infusion
pump.
The IV Exprés is Debiotech's micropump for
hospital and homecare use. It combines ease of use with a variety
of infusion modes and advanced features, e.g. remote communication.
Last year, Debiotech licensed the pump to JMS for the Japanese market.
