Debiotech MEMS-based pump for insulin delivery in October issue of Small Times Magazine.

Debiotech is identified in the September/October issue of Small Times magazine in a report entitled "Biotech meets Small Tech" as one of the leading company in the field of biomems devices. It describes Debiotech's activity in the application of a pump based on Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) in an insulin pump as follows.

"Switzerland's Debiotech SA has developed a MEMS-based pump that be integrated into drug delivery devices. Future models are expected to be smaller and taped to the skin, and Debiotech is developing an implantable version."

The picture displayed in Small Times magazine depicts one of the earlier versions of this Chronojet pump for external drug delivery. Today's development of a new generation of insulin pump based on MEMS technology is one of the several developments of innovative medical device at Debiotech.
