Clip N Ject is the name under which West Pharmaceutical Services is marketing Debiotech's drug reconstitution devices "Debioject" and "Debioclip". For more information, please visit www.clipnject.com.
Excerpt from the magazine:
West Pharmaceuticals Systems offers a novel "captured-needle" system for reconstitution and delivery of lyophilized or dry-powder drugs called Clip'n'Ject. The single-use system consists of a shrouded plastic connector that links a prefilled diluent syringe with a standard drug vial. The needle is retained inside the connector, eliminating exposure during drug reconstitution and decreasing risks of handling an exposed needle. Components are injection molded of clear polycarbonate and polypropylene. Clip'n'Ject is packaged under cleanroom conditions in a thermoformed tray. The kit is sealed with a breathable Tyvek lid, enabling it to be sterilized using ethylene oxide gas. A drug vial is clipped into a separate section of the tray after sterilization for sale as a complete kit.
