“This agreement represents a major step in the use of this innovative medical device intended to improve the method of preparation and injection of sophisticated pharmaceutical compounds not available in liquid form,” said Frederic Neftel, MD, President and CEO of Debiotech. “The selection of Clip’n’Ject by Watson Pharmaceuticals is an indication of the potential for Clip’n’Ject use for many of the biotechnology drugs presently under development.”

The Clip'n'Ject device is intended to facilitate the reconstitution and delivery of lyophilized drugs. The system consists of a plastic connector that links a prefilled diluent syringe with a standard drug vial. The diluent syringe is available in 1mL, 3mL or 5mL fill sizes. West provides the product in a single thermo-formed tray secured with a Tyvek® lid. The sealed Clip'n'Ject is terminally sterilized by ethylene oxide.

Developed by Debiotech and licensed to West Pharmaceutical Services, the Clip’N’Ject is manufactured by West Pharmaceutical Services in its facility in Montgomery, Pennsylvania.
